Hello Ladies and gentlemen fellow members of South Kyme golf club, this is Captain Pugwash back from my short break away.
We’ll start with this week’s Captains draw, the numbers drawn were 432, there were no jackpot winners but there were 2 consolation prize winners each getting £7. a bit of a measly sum I know, but as I keep telling you invest big so you win big LOL.
The jackpot C/F for next week is now £54.
Last Thursday we had our Annual Seniors AM AM, yet again we never fail to attract a good number of players, we had 150 golfers from SKGC and other clubs competing, the weather was dry and relatively warm and the course was a picture. I have here got to pause and thank Shawn the head green keeper and his merry men for giving us such a well turned out golf course to play on, I am sure that it will not go unnoticed by other golfers from other clubs as to how well South Kyme golf course is looking and playing. Thank you boys.
Another thing that we do well at South Kyme, of which I’m sure, plays a big role in attracting members from other clubs to come and play at South Kyme, is our Half Way House. Our ladies section time and time again put on a display in the HWH that is an awe to everyone, Helen Kirschiner and Heather Dopriella for baking cakes and running the HWH on the day, Paula Young for her baking and Sue Annibal for delivering it, and if I left any ladies out I apologise. As I am allways saying our Ladies section might be small but my goodness you do make us proud, which goes to show that size does not really matter LOL.
I finish by saying a big Thanks to our DOG Director of golf Pete Chamberlain for setting the whole thing up, Martin Howard for doing all the cards, and the Seniors committee for running it so smoothly on the day, and last but not least congratulaions to this years winners Bill Dark, Paul Eales, Gerry Grimshaw and Bob Palmer, well done boys.
See you next week.
