The Team SK Saturday 1pm Spin Up is aimed at but not exclusively for those members who are interested in playing League golf in 2025. Simply turn up and sign in on the PSI in the lounge and be at the 1st tee for 12:55.
Open to all members with a handicap except: Summer/ Social / Social +PG / U-16 PG and Freedom Members.
5 DAY MEMBERS MAY ENTER BY FIRST PAYING GUEST GREEN FEE RATE..
Green Tees* (½ handicap) *with internal handicap system. Each week the winner loses 3 off his handicap, 2nd & ties loses 2 and 3rd and ties 1. Each week you play and are not in the prizes you get one back until you get back to your club handicap. This generally gives everyone a chance of winning.
Format rotates between Medal , Stableford, & Fairways and Greens. On the 4th week in the rotation there will be either a pairs , shamble/scramble or an AM-AM for a bit of alternative fun.
Each week there is an entry fee of £2 . Out of this £1 per player is used to create the weekly prize fund the other pound goes into the 1st/2nd Team fund. This is used to help pay end of season SOOM prizes. In the past this fund has also been used to support various club projects.
Each week Order of Merit points are distributed as follows:
10 Points for the last placed player with the next last earning 20 points and so on with each place gained earning an extra 10 points.
The Top 8 players in the SOOM at the end of the season (March 2025) qualify to enter the 2025 South Kyme Masters ( provided they are a Member in a category which allows entry to the Masters)
The Top 3 players on the SOOM will be awarded vouchers at the SK Masters as follows:
1ST £75 2ND £50 3RD £25 Thanks to kind sponsorship from Barry Skinner and Alan Wells.
There is also an optional eclectic (best gross score on each hole over the season) This carries a £5 entry fee and the Winner will receive £50. If there is a tie for 1st the prize is shared between the winners.
