SOUTH KYME SENIOR MEN’S OPEN
The above competition will take place on Thursday 28th July 2022.
The entry forms available on the club website, and in the Clubhouse foyer, and should be completed as soon as possible.
Members of South Kyme GC will be able to pay their entry through their Club card (Bar account) in the shop.
The cost is £10 for members of SKGC plus £12 for a two course meal (optional), there will be bacon baps and coffee available to buy prior to play (optional).
There will be plenty of prizes to play for so get your name in as soon as you can.
There will also be a need for volunteers throughout the day so if you either don’t want to play or are available to help please give your name to either Martin Howard or Duncan Bustin.
WINTER LEAGUE DIVISIONS
As previously advised the winter league will consist of 3 divisions. There were a few errors today with people entering cards from the wrong division. PLEASE ENSURE YOU USE THE RIGHT CARD FOR YOUR DIVISION. If you are collecting a card for someone else make sure you pick up the right card. There will be some errors in the first couple of weeks and these are normal, however if these easily corrected errors continue then I’m afraid DQ’s could be a possibility. Take the time to check and score your card correctly.
CLUB VICE CAPTAIN
On behalf of all of the seniors section I would like to congratulate Pete Zammit on being named the club Vice Captain for 2022/2023. Well done Pete greatly deserved recognition of all you do.
SENIORS CHRISTMAS PARTY
The menu selection slips are in the changing room on our noticeboard, if you are attending this function please fill in the slip and pay NORMAN your outstanding balance as soon as possible.
BUNKERS AND PITCH MARKS
Please make sure if you play out of a bunker that you rake it after you. Even if it looks like it’s been left unraked, it’s up to individuals to rake them. The same goes with pitch marks, The green staff have done a great job getting the greens in the condition they are so again please repair your pitch mark and any you see on the green.
SINGLE PURSE
Discussions have taken place at management level regarding going from Winnings/Bar purse to a single purse.
This is now under review and an update will follow in due course.
In the meantime I would encourage you all to use your winnings in the shop as there is more in there than just tees and golf balls. Every penny we spend either in the bar or shop goes back into the club.
